حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ، وَعَنْ مَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ، وَعَنْ حُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the price of a dog, the earnings of a prostitute, and eating sweets given to soothsayers.
