حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شَهْرَ بْنَ حَوْشَبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو ظَبْيَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَسَةَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ (١) رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَبَلَغَ مُخْطِئًا أَوْ مُصِيبًا فَلَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ كَرَقَبَةٍ أَعْتَقَهَا مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever shoots an arrow, whether it hits the target or misses, it is as if he has freed a slave from among the descendants of Ismail (peace be upon him).
