Hadith text

Translation

English translation

Yazid bin Jariyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once he was sitting with some Ansari people when Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) came and asked about the topic of discussion. The people informed him that they were talking about the Ansar. Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Shall I not narrate to you a hadith to increase your knowledge, which I heard from the Prophet (ﷺ)?" The people said: "Certainly, O Commander of the Faithful!" He said: "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: 'Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah loves him, and whoever harbors enmity towards the Ansar, Allah harbors enmity towards him.'"
