حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ (١) فِي شَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ: " إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ، فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ الثَّالِثَةَ (٢) فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: "Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, flog him again. Even if he drinks a fourth time, then kill him."
