حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، ذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا غَيْرَهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُّ فِي الدِّينِ، وَلَا تَزَالُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Yazid bin Asam says that Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) would very rarely narrate any hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ), but I heard this hadith from him: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion. And a group of Muslims will always fight for the truth; these people will remain dominant over their opponents until the Day of Resurrection."
