Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ الرَّحَبِيَّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمَقْرَائِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيٍّ، عَنْ ذِي مِخْمَرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " كَانَ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي، ، حِمْيَرَ، فَنَزَعَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُمْ، فَجَعَلَهُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ " وَسَ يَ عُ ودُ إِ لَ يْ هِ مْ " (١) ، وَكَذَا كَانَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي مُقَطَّعًا، وَحَيْثُ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ تَكَلَّمَ عَلَى الِاسْتِوَاءِ "، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Dhu Makhmar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "At first, rulership was with the tribe of Himyar, then Allah took it from them and placed it among the Quraysh, and soon it will return to them again."
