English translation

It is narrated from Dhu Mukhmar (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Soon the Romans will make a peace treaty with you, then you and they will fight together against a common enemy. You will be victorious in that battle and will return safely with spoils of war. When you reach a place called Dhi Tulul, a Christian will raise a cross and say, "The cross has prevailed." At this, a Muslim will become angry and will stand up to respond to him. From there, the Romans will break the treaty and begin preparations for war.
