حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ: عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ دَخَلَ فِي صَلَاةٍ، فَقَالَ: " اللهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا - ثَلَاثًا - سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا - ثَلَاثًا - اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ، مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ " قَالَ عَمْرو: " وَهَمْزُهُ: الْمُوتَةُ، وَنَفْخُهُ: الْكِبْرُ، وَنَفْثُهُ: الشِّعْرُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut’im that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) in the voluntary prayers recite three times: Allahu Akbar Kabira, three times: Walhamdulillahi Kathira, and three times: Subhanallahi Bukratan wa Aseela, and he would recite this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing of the accursed Satan. Amr says: By “evil suggestions” is meant that death which seizes the son of Adam, by “blowing” is meant arrogance, and by “spitting” is meant poetry.
