حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ، ، أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أَجْرٌ بِمَكَّةَ؟ قَالَ: " لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ " قَالَ: فَأَصْغَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَأْسِهِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ فِي أَصْحَابِي مُنَافِقِينَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger: O Messenger of Allah! Some people think that we do not receive any reward in Makkah Mukarramah? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: They are wrong, you will certainly receive your reward, even if you are in a fox’s den. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) lowered his head towards me and said: Among my companions, there are also some hypocrites.
