حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ الْبُلْدَانِ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " لَا أَدْرِي " فَلَمَّا أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالَ: " يَا جِبْرِيلُ، أَيُّ الْبُلْدَانِ شَرٌّ؟ " قَالَ: لَا أَدْرِي حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. فَانْطَلَقَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، ثُمَّ مَكَثَ (٤) مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَمْكُثَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، إِنَّكَ سَأَلْتَنِي أَيُّ الْبُلْدَانِ شَرٌّ، فَقُلْتُ: لَا أَدْرِي، وَإِنِّي سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: أَيُّ الْبُلْدَانِ شَرٌّ؟ فَقَالَ: أَسْوَاقُهَا (٥)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Which part of the city is the worst? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I do not know. When Jibreel came, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him the same question. He also replied: I do not know, but I will ask my Lord. Saying this, he left. After a while, he returned and said: O Muhammad! You asked me this question and I said I do not know. Now I have asked my Lord, and the answer He gave is that the worst part of the city is its markets.
