Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا فَكَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى (١) أَطْلَقْتُهُمْ " (٢) يَعْنِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jubair bin Mut'im that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If Mut'im bin Adi were alive and spoke to me regarding these captives (the prisoners of Badr), I would have set them all free.
