قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو (١) صَالِحٌ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ، فَأَخَذْتُ بِزِمَامِ نَاقَتِهِ أَوْ خِطَامِهَا (٢) ، فَدَفَعْتُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ: " دَعُوهُ فَأَرَبٌ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ " فَقُلْتُ: نَبِّئْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ (٣) وَيُبَاعِدُنِي (٤) مِنَ النَّارِ. قَالَ: فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " لَئِنْ (٥) كُنْتَ أَوْجَزْتَ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ لَقَدْ أَعْظَمْتَ وَأَطْوَلْتَ (٦) ، تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَحُجُّ الْبَيْتَ، وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ، وَتَأْتِي إِلَى النَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يَأْتُوهُ (٧) إِلَيْكَ، وَمَا كَرِهْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ فَدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْهُ، خَلِّ عَنْ زِمَامِ النَّاقَةِ " (٨)، ،
Translation
English translation
Mughira bin Sa’d narrates from his father or uncle that in the plain of Arafat, I came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him). I held the reins of his camel. People started to push me away, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Leave him, there is some need that has brought him. I said: Please tell me of a deed that will bring me near to Paradise and keep me away from Hell? The Prophet (peace be upon him) raised his head towards the sky and said: Although your words are few, the matter is very great. Worship Allah in such a way that you do not associate anyone with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, perform Hajj of the House of Allah, fast in the month of Ramadan, go to people in the way you would like them to come to you, and keep people away from that which you dislike for yourself. And now, let go of the camel’s rope.
