قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحِمَارِ وَحْشٍ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ: " إِنَّا حُرُمٌ لَا نَأْكُلُ الصَّيْدَ " (٢)، •

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Sa'b bin Jathamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, at the place of Waddan, wild donkey meat was presented to you as a gift, but the Prophet (ﷺ) returned it and said: We are in the state of Ihram; we cannot eat game.
