Original Arabic
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا حِمَى إِلَّا لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ " (١)
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Sa'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: It is not permissible for anyone except Allah and His Messenger to declare any area as a prohibited area.
