حَدِيثُ مَنْ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٦٥٨٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَرَ بِرَجْمِ رَجُلٍ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ، فَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ فَرَّ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "، ، فَهَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered regarding a man that he should be stoned between Mecca and Medina. When stones struck him, he started to run away. When the Prophet (ﷺ) learned of this, he said: Why did you not let him go?
