حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ " يَتَحَرَّى مَوْضِعَ الْمُصْحَفِ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ، ، اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَحَرَّى ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانَ "، وَكَانَ بَيْنَ الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْقِبْلَةِ مَمَرُّ شَاةٍ (١)،
Translation
English translation
Yazid bin Abu Ubaid says that I used to come to the mosque with Salamah bin Akwa’, and he would pray near the pillar that was close to the Mushaf, and he would say that I have seen the Prophet (ﷺ) praying with care near this pillar. At that time, a goat could pass between the pulpit and the qiblah.
