حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ، ١٦٤١١ - حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ أُوقِيَّةٌ أَوْ عَدْلُهَا فَقَدْ سَأَلَ إِلْحَافًا " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from a companion of Banu Asad that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever possesses one uqiyah of silver or its equivalent, yet still begs from others, has asked while wrapped in a blanket.
