حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَنَالَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ، فَخَرَجَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَقَالَ: أَلا تَعْجَبُ مِنْ هَذَا يَسُبُّ عَلِيًّا؟ . أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّا كُنَّا عَلَى حِرَاءٍ - أَوْ أُحُدٍ -، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ - أَوْ أُحُدُ - فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ "، فَسَمَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَشْرَةَ فَسَمَّى: " أَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، وَعَلِيًّا، وَطَلْحَةَ، وَالزُّبَيْرَ، وَسَعْدًا، وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، وَسَمَّى نَفْسَهُ سَعِيدًا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that "Abdullah bin Zalim said:
al-Mugheerah bin Shu"bah gave a speech and criticized ‘Ali. Sa’eed bin Zaid came out and said: Are you not surprised at this one reviling ‘Alī ? I bear witness about the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): we were atop Hira" or Uhud, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Be still, O Hira" - or Uhud - for there is no one on you but a Siddeeq or a martyr." And the Prophet (ﷺ) named the ten. He named: Abu Bakr, "Umar, "Uthman, "Ali, Talhah, az-Zubair, Sa"d, and ‘Abdur-Rahman, and Sa’eed named himself.
