Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ سُئِلَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، ، يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ، فَقَالَ: " لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdullah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding perpetual fasting: Such a person neither fasts nor breaks the fast.
