Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ: " لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ "، أَوْ قَالَ: " لَمْ يَصُمْ وَلَمْ يُفْطِرْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdullah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding perpetual fasting: Such a person neither fasts nor breaks the fast.
