Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي صَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ، ، كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ "، (١) قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: لَمْ يَقُلْ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ إِلَّا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdullah that I once saw the Prophet (ﷺ) and, due to excessive weeping and lamentation, such sounds were coming from his blessed chest as are produced by a boiling pot.
