Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Hisham bin ‘Amir that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: It is not permissible for a Muslim to sever relations with his Muslim brother for more than three days. If both of them remain silent towards each other for more than three days, then as long as they remain in this state, they will remain away from the truth. And whoever reconciles first, his initiative will be an expiation for him. If he greets the other but the other does not reply, then the angels will respond to the one who greeted, and Satan will respond to the one who refused. If both die in the state of severing relations, they will never be able to be together in Paradise.
