Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي صِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ: " صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِفْطَارُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Muawiyah bin Qurrah, from his father, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said regarding fasting three days every month: "It is equivalent to fasting and breaking the fast every day."
