حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ الْخَبِيثَتَيْنِ، وَقَالَ: " مَنْ أَكَلَهُمَا فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدَنَا " وَقَالَ: " إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ آكِلِيهِمَا فَأَمِيتُمُوهُمَا (٢) طَبْخًا " قَالَ: يَعْنِي الْبَصَلَ، ، وَالثُّومَ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Qurrah Muzani that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade those two foul-smelling plants, onions and garlic, and said: Whoever eats them should not come near our mosque. If you cannot do without eating them, then cook them to remove their odor.
