English translation
It is narrated from Rifa’ah Juhani that once we were returning from Makkah Mukarramah with the Prophet (ﷺ). When we reached the place of Kudayd, some people began to ask the Prophet (ﷺ) for permission to return to their families. The Prophet (ﷺ) granted them permission. Then he stood up, praised and glorified Allah, and said: What is the matter with people that they dislike the part of the tree that is near the Prophet (ﷺ) more than the other part? At that time, we saw all the people weeping. Then a man said that from now on, whoever asks you for permission to leave will surely be foolish. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said Alhamdulillah and said: Now I bear witness that whoever dies bearing witness to La ilaha illallah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, with sincerity of heart and correct intention, will enter Paradise. And my Lord has promised me that He will admit into Paradise seventy thousand people from my Ummah without any reckoning or punishment, and I hope that they will not enter Paradise until you and your forefathers and your wives and children, those who are worthy of it, also enter Paradise. And he said that when half or two-thirds of the night passes, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and announces: I will not ask anyone else about My servants. Who is there who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him? Who is there who supplicates to Me so that I may accept his supplication? And who is there who asks of Me so that I may grant him? This announcement continues until the break of dawn.
