Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Rifa’ah Juhani that once we were returning from Makkah Mukarramah with the Prophet (ﷺ). When we reached the place of Kudayd, some people began to ask the Prophet (ﷺ) for permission to return to their families. The Prophet (ﷺ) granted them permission. Then he stood up, praised and glorified Allah, and said: What is the matter with people that the part of the tree which is near the Prophet (ﷺ) is more disliked by them than the other part? At that time, we saw all the people weeping. Then a man said: From now on, whoever asks you for permission to leave will be foolish. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said Alhamdulillah and said: Now I bear witness that whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, with sincerity of heart and correct intention, and dies in this state, will enter Paradise. And my Lord has promised me that He will admit into Paradise seventy thousand people from my Ummah without any reckoning or punishment, and I hope that they will not enter Paradise until you and your forefathers and your wives and children, those who are worthy of it, also enter Paradise. And he said: When half or two-thirds of the night passes, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and announces: I will not ask anyone else about My servants. Who is there who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him? Who is there who prays to Me so that I may accept his prayer? And who is there who asks of Me so that I may grant him? This announcement continues until the break of dawn. It is narrated from Rifa’ah Juhani that once we were returning from Makkah Mukarramah with the Prophet (ﷺ). When we reached the place of Kudaydi, some people began to ask the Prophet (ﷺ) for permission to return to their families. Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said: Abu Bakr said: From now on, whoever asks you for permission to leave will be foolish. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said Alhamdulillah and said: Now I bear witness that whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, with sincerity of heart and correct intention, and dies in this state, will enter Paradise. Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
