حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبِي يَوْمًا " تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ (٢) على النَّعْلَيْنِ " فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهِمَا؟ فَقَالَ: " هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aws that one day I saw my father wiping over his shoes, so I said to him, "You are wiping over your shoes?" He replied, "I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) doing the same."
