Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي السُّوقِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ هَذِهِ السُّوقَ يُخَالِطُهَا اللَّغْوُ، وَحَلِفٌ فَشُوبُوهَا بِصَدَقَةٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Qais bin Abi Ghazrah that one day the Prophet (ﷺ) came to us in the market and said: Oaths and false statements often occur in trade, so mix charity and alms into it.
