حَدِيثُ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِر، ١٦٠٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ السَّائِبِ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ بْنَ (١) عَبْدَ الْمُنْذِرِ، لَمَّا تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي وَأُسَاكِنَكَ، وَأَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي صَدَقَةً لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلِرَسُولِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ الثُّلُثُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Husayn bin Sa’ib says that when Allah accepted the repentance of Abu Lubabah, he said, "O Messenger of Allah! As part of my repentance, I will leave my people’s house and come to live in your neighborhood, and I will dedicate all my wealth for Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "A third from you will be sufficient."
