حَدِيثُ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ (١)، ١٦٠٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: قَالَ أَبِي: وقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ، بَنُو النَّجَّارِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ، وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ " فَقَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ: " مَا أَرَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا قَدْ فَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا "، فَقِيلَ: قَدْ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Usaid Sa’idi that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best household among the Ansar is that of Banu Najjar, then Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then Banu Harith bin Khazraj, then Banu Sa’ida, and indeed, there is goodness and blessing in every house of the Ansar. Upon this, Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah said: I think that the Prophet (ﷺ) has given them superiority over us. He was informed: You people have been given superiority over many others.
