Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Umair that one day we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when a man came with a tray of dates. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Is this charity?" He replied, "Charity." The Prophet (ﷺ) distributed it among the people. At that time, Imam Hasan was also rolling about in front of the Prophet (ﷺ); he was a child. He took a date and put it in his mouth. The Prophet (ﷺ) put his finger in his mouth, took out the date, and set it aside, and said: "Charity is not lawful for us, the family of Muhammad."
