حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَبَّةَ الْبَدْرِيَّ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ: {لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ} [البينة: ١] إِلَى آخِرِهَا، قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تُقْرِئَهَا أُبَيًّا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُبَيٍّ: " إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُقْرِئَكَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ " قَالَ أُبَيٌّ: وَقَدْ ذُكِرْتُ ثَمَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " قَالَ: فَبَكَى أُبَيٌّ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Habba Badri that when Surah Bayyinah was revealed, Jibreel appeared in the presence of the Messenger and said: O Muhammad, your Lord commands you to recite this Surah to Ubayy bin Ka'b. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Ubayy: My Lord has commanded me to recite this Surah to you. Upon this, Ubayy bin Ka'b began to weep and said: Was my name mentioned there? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: Yes.
