حَدِيثُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ (١)، ١٥٩٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَلْقَى مِنَ الْمَذْيِ شِدَّةً، فَكُنْتُ أُكْثِرُ الِاغْتِسَالَ مِنْهُ، فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا يُجْزِئُكَ مِنْهُ الْوُضُوءُ " فَقُلْتُ: كَيْفَ بِمَا يُصِيبُ ثَوْبِي؟ فَقَالَ: " يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ كَفًّا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَتَمْسَحَ بِهَا مِنْ ثَوْبِكَ حَيْثُ تَرَى أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Sahl bin Hunaif that I used to suffer from frequent discharge of madhy (pre-seminal fluid), because of which I had to perform ghusl (ritual bath) frequently. One day I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about this matter. He said: "Wudu (ablution) is sufficient for you." I asked: "What about the drops that get on the clothes?" He said: "It is sufficient for you to take water in your palm and sprinkle it wherever you see its traces."
