حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى جَرْهَدًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَةٌ قَدِ انْكَشَفَ (١) فَخِذُهُ فَقَالَ: " الْفَخِذُ عَوْرَةٌ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jarid that once he was sitting with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do you not know that the thigh is 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)?
