حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْتَوِي مَا يَجِدُ مَا يَمْلَأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ (٤) .، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ʼUmar said:
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ feeling the pain of hunger and not being able to find enough to fill his stomach of inferior quality dates.
