Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdullah bin Abi Hadrad owed him some debt. Once, they met on the road and Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) caught hold of him. Due to mutual argument, their voices were raised. Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured to me and said, "Forgive him half of his debt." So he forgave half and took the remaining half of the money.
