Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ إِذَا رَكَعْتُ وَضَعْتُ يَدَيَّ بَيْنَ رُكْبَتَيَّ، قَالَ: فَرَآنِي أَبِي سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فَنَهَانِي. وَقَالَ: " إِنَّا كُنَّا نَفْعَلُهُ فَنُهِينَا عَنْهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Mus"ab bin Sa"d said:
When I bowed, I would put my hands between my knees. My father Sa"d bin Malik saw me, he told me not do that, and said: We used to do that and were told not to do it.
