. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

English translation

Hasan Basri says that when Yazid passed away, Dahhak bin Qais wrote in a letter to Qais bin Haitham: Peace be upon you. To proceed, I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that before the Day of Judgment, tribulations will come like pieces of a dark night. Some tribulations will be like pieces of smoke. In these tribulations, a person's heart will die just like his body dies. A person will be a believer in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, and likewise, a believer in the evening and a disbeliever in the morning. People will sell their morals and religion for a small portion of worldly goods. And Yazid bin Muawiyah has passed away. You are our brothers and our kin, so do not hasten to select a ruler before us until we ourselves choose someone for ourselves.
