حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ فَتَحَ بَابًا فَخَرَجَتْ مِنْهُ حَيَّةٌ، فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ: لَا تَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ " رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ (٢) الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْبُيُوتِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Nafi' reports that Ibn Umar opened a door and a snake came out of it. He ordered it to be killed. Abu Lubabah said: "Do not do so, because the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade killing the snakes that live in houses."
