حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ إِلَى مَجْلِسِنَا، فَحَدَّثَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا خَرَصْتُمْ فَجُدُّوا (٢) ، وَدَعُوا دَعُوا الثُّلُثَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجُدُّوا، وَتَدَعُوا، فَدَعُوا الرُّبُعَ " (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
Abdur Rahman bin Mas’ud says that once Sahl bin Abi Hathmah came to our gathering and narrated this hadith: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When you harvest fruit, take some and leave some; leave about one third, and if you cannot do that, then leave one fourth.
