Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْجِنَازَةَ، فَلْيَقُمْ حَتَّى تُخَلِّفَهُ أَوْ تُوضَعَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aamir that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you see a funeral procession and cannot accompany it, then stand up until it passes by or is placed on the ground.
