حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ الْحُبْرَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ التُّجَّارَ هُمُ الْفُجَّارُ " قَالَ: رَجُلٌ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَلَمْ يُحِلَّ اللهُ الْبَيْعَ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ فَيَكْذِبُونَ، وَيَحْلِفُونَ وَيَأْثَمُونَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Most traders are sinful and wicked. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Has Allah not made trade lawful? He replied: Why not, but when these people speak, they lie, and when they swear oaths, they become sinful.
