Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Amir bin Shahr that I have heard two things, one from the Prophet (ﷺ) and one from Najashi. I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: "Observe the Quraysh, take their words but leave their actions." And once I was sitting with Najashi when his son brought a book and read a verse from the Gospel. I understood its meaning and began to laugh. Seeing this, Najashi said: "What are you laughing at? At the Book of Allah? By Allah, Allah revealed this to Isa: 'There will be a curse upon the earth when children become its rulers.'"
