حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ سَعْدٌ عَنْ بَيْعِ سُلْتٍ بِشَعِيرٍ - أَوْ شَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا - فَقَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ تَمْرٍ بِرُطَبٍ. فَقَالَ: " تَنْقُصُ الرَّطْبَةُ إِذَا يَبِسَتْ؟ " قَالُوا:، ، نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " فَلا إِذَاً" (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu "Ayyash said: Sa"d was asked about selling thin-husked barley for (ordinary) barley or something like that and he said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about selling dried dates for fresh dates and he said: “Does the fresh date shrink when it is dried?” They said: Yes. He said: "Then no.”
