حَدِيثُ مُعَيْقِيبٍ، (١) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٥٥٠٩ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَيْقِيبٌ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْمَسْحُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، يَعْنِي الْحَصَى؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Muqib that a person asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about leveling pebbles in prostration: so he said, "If there is no other way and it is necessary to do so, then do it only once."
