حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبْسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٥٤٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الدَّارِيُّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ، أَدْرَكَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةَ، وَنَحْنُ فِي غَزْوَةِ رُودِسَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: ابْنُ عَبْسٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَسُوقُ لِآلٍ لَنَا بَقَرَةً، قَالَ: فَسَمِعْتُ مِنْ جَوْفِهَا: يَا آلَ ذَرِيحْ، قَوْلٌ فَصِيحْ، رَجُلٌ يَصِيحْ: أَنْ " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ". قَالَ: فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ، فَوَجَدْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ خَرَجَ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibn Abas narrates that I used to graze a cow belonging to my family. One day, by His command, I heard this voice: "O family of Zareeh, a clear statement!" A person was announcing and saying, "There is no deity except Allah." After that, when we reached Makkah Mukarramah, we found out that the Prophet (ﷺ) had proclaimed prophethood.
