حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى فِي الْفَجْرِ فَتَرَكَ آيَةً، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ: " أَفِي الْقَوْمِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ؟ " قَالَ أُبَيٌّ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نُسِخَتْ آيَةُ كَذَا وَكَذَا، أَوْ نُسِّيتَهَا؟ قَالَ: " نُسِّيتُهَا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abzi that once the Prophet (ﷺ) was leading the Fajr prayer. During the recitation, one verse was omitted. After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Is Ubayy bin Ka'b among the worshippers?" Ubayy bin Ka'b said, "O Messenger of Allah! Has such-and-such verse been abrogated or did you forget it?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I forgot it."
