Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَا يُقَادُ وَالِدٌ مِنْ وَلَدٍ " (١) . وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَرِثُ الْمَالَ مَنْ يَرِثُ الْوَلاءَ " (٢) .،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
`No father is to be killed in retaliatory punishment for his son` And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: `The one who inherits loyalty (wala - loyalty of a free slave) also inherits his wealth
