حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَزْعَةٌ، فَاسْتَعَارَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ، فَرَسًا لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: مَنْدُوبٌ، فَرَكِبَهُ، وَقَالَ: " مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, during the night, the people of Madinah were alarmed due to fear of the enemy. The Prophet (ﷺ) borrowed one of our horses, whose name was Mandub, and said, "There is nothing to worry about." Regarding the horse, he said, "We found it as swift as the sea."
