حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: غَمْرَةُ - أَوْ غَمْرَاءُ - وَقَالَ: " فَوَجَدَ فَرَسًا - أَوْ مُهْرًا - يُبَاعُ، فَنُسِبَتِ إلَى تِلْكَ الْفَرَسِ فَنُهِيَ عَنْهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from az-Zubair bin al-"Awwam that
a man gave a mare called Ghamrah or Ghamra" [for jihad], then he found a horse or a colt for sale which was said to be from that mare, but he was told not to buy it.
